How to Select a Filter Drier

A four-step method our engineers use every day

Match the refrigerant and line

Confirm refrigerant type, liquid-line or suction-line position, and connection diameter before selecting a model.

Check pressure and capacity

Verify maximum working pressure (e.g. 2.9-4.5 MPa) and that the rated capacity covers the system load with margin.

Pick the right desiccants

Use molecular sieve plus activated alumina for water and acid; choose solid-core for high contamination and bead-type for capacity.

Install and evacuate correctly

Braze with nitrogen flow, evacuate to a deep vacuum, and never leave a system open to moist air longer than necessary.

Match the connection to your line diameter and ensure the drier's rated capacity meets or exceeds the system capacity, allowing a safety margin for long lines or high moisture loads. Our engineers can size it for you from the refrigerant, tonnage and line length.
