Copper fittings are the basic connecting components of refrigeration piping. Kilterra supplies copper fittings, elbows and branch lines in high-purity copper with uniform wall thickness and fine port finishing - supplied together with filter driers, receivers and other components for one-stop procurement.
Before You Start
- Grind the port to remove oxide before brazing
- Insertion clearance 0.05-0.2mm
- Brace with nitrogen shielding to prevent oxidation
- Pressure-test for leaks after brazing
Common Installation Mistakes
- Weld micro-leak - welding process issue
- Fitting cracking - material or wall thickness deficiency
- Cap leak - poor sealing
- Oxide scale entering system - welding without nitrogen shielding
Notes from the Field
- What to watch in brazing fittings? - Grinding, clearance and nitrogen shielding.
- How to judge copper quality? - Material certificate and uniform wall thickness.
- Can fittings be customized? - Yes, OEM supported.
- Why do welds leak? - Usually oxide not fully ground off.
For 37 years Kilterra has focused on one thing: build refrigeration components right, deliver them on time. Copper Fittings & Valves supports OEM/ODM customization - factory visits, sample testing and volume partnerships are welcome.
